Summary
Instacart's innovation lab was challenged to improve the efficiency and safety of its in-store staging area. I designed a modular locker system that could fluidly adapt to store formats, order volumes, and item sizes—translating our operational model into physical infrastructure. I collaborated with Instacart's brand team to develop a warm, robust material palette of oak and terrazzo, signaling trust while withstanding heavy daily use. Explored in partnership with Instacart’s product and executive leads.
